Teen Time is a welcoming, inclusive space where teens can be themselves, explore new interests, and connect with peers.

We are seeking friendly, open-minded, and dependable volunteers to support this program by helping create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants, including those who identify as neurodiverse.

Volunteers assist staff with activities, provide guidance, and encourage teens to engage and connect with one another.

Summer Reading Volunteer Orientation will take place on Thursday, May 21 from 12:00 -2:00 pm at the Clifton Branch in the Mt Garfield Community room. We will be making introductions, reviewing guidelines and expectations, and checking that all paperwork is complete.

Teen volunteers between 14-18 are invited to volunteer this summer at the Central Library. Summer Reading runs from May 26th - July 25th. The library is a great place to spend your summer helping your community and gain valuable workplace skills. Teens will help sign up participants for the Summer Reading program, help with summer events, distribute prizes, and help with additional library tasks. 

Shifts will be offered Monday - Saturday

Kids Club Assistants help support Mesa County Libraries’ Kids Club — a fun, drop-in program where kids and tweens (ages 6–11) can meet new friends and enjoy activities like games, crafts, art, movies, and special performances. Volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming, safe, and engaging space where kids can learn, play, and express their creativity.

Want to spend your summer making a difference and having fun? As a Summer Reading Assistant, you’ll help other teens, kids, and families get excited about reading. You’ll also pitch in with library events, help set up fun activities, organize books and materials, and make sure the space stays clean and welcoming. If you’re friendly, love books, and want to be part of something great this summer, this could be the perfect spot for you! This opportunity is only for teens 14-18.

Mesa County Libraries is proud to host regular Dungeons & Dragons game sessions to inspire creativity, storytelling, and community connection. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable volunteer Dungeon Master to lead engaging, inclusive, and well-organized adventures for adult players.

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented volunteers to help ensure the health and safety of our patrons by dusting, sanitizing toys and other high contact areas regularly. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, promoting overall well-being and safety for our patrons
