Who We Are
The Novel Idea book store is a treasure for our community. There are books, movies and music for sale at very discounted prices and all funds raised return to the library to use for programming and special events. The merchandise comes primarily from community donations and then filtered, cleaned and organized by volunteers at our book drop. As an alternative to the Novel Idea, The Friends of MCL operate a separate book sale on Fridays & Saturdays, 9AM- 2PM, located at The First Congregational Church.
What We Do
The Friends volunteers take money for merchandise, interact with the public and refill shelves with inventory as needed. They are a smiling face and a kind ear to our patrons and help keep the shelves full so everyone can find something they will love.
