Join us for a presentation on the Mesa County Fiber Arts Guild!
The Fiber Arts Guild is a group of artists who work mainly with yarn to promote the crafts of knitting, spinning, crocheting, rug making, felting, and embroidery in Mesa County. They are committed to teaching and training this generation and the next so that the art of fiber is not lost.
During this program they will be talking about the guild and displaying some of their creations.

The presenter is current president of the guild, Mary Kain, who is a textile artist and potter. She learned to knit, crochet, and sew from Mom and Grandmothers at around the age of five. She collects, processes, spins wool and knits or weaves functional items from yarn. Mary Kain was a teacher for over 30 years in public schools and teaches Art Camp during the summer and school holidays.
