Join us for the Giving Tree Wrapping Event, a joyful part of Mesa County Libraries’ holiday giving partnership with Grand Valley Catholic Outreach. This long-standing program provides gifts to underprivileged Mesa County residents of all ages.
We’re wrapping more than 200 gifts this year, and we need your help! No wrapping experience is necessary — just bring your enthusiasm and holiday spirit.
Present Wrapping Assistants help prepare holiday gifts with care, accuracy, and a festive touch. Volunteers in this role support the Giving Tree program by ensuring each gift is neatly wrapped, labeled correctly, and ready for distribution to community members in need. Duties include:
-
Wrapping Gifts: Carefully wrap presents using provided paper, bags, tags, and ribbons.
-
Labeling & Organization: Match gifts to the correct recipient tags and ensure each item is clearly labeled.
-
Quality Check: Confirm that each wrapped gift is secure, neatly presented, and ready for delivery.
-
Team Support: Work alongside other volunteers to maintain an efficient, positive, and organized wrapping area.
-
Maintain Supplies: Restock wrapping materials as needed and notify staff when supplies run low.
-
Clean-Up: Help keep the wrapping station tidy by recycling paper scraps and organizing tools between gifts.
This role is perfect for volunteers who enjoy hands-on tasks, creativity, and spreading holiday cheer.
