The Human Library is a powerful, interactive event where community members become Readers and “borrow” speakers—our living Books—for meaningful, one-on-one conversations. These honest exchanges are designed to challenge stereotypes, build empathy, and deepen understanding through real lived experiences.
This year’s Human Library will take place on Saturday, February 7, from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this unique event to life.
As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in keeping the Human Library running smoothly by supporting our living Books by managing the designated breakroom space. Volunteers will kindly allow entrance for Books into the breakroom, monitor the area to ensure it remains reserved exclusively for participants, and help maintain a welcoming environment. This includes checking and restocking snacks as needed so our Books have a comfortable place to recharge between conversations.
